As a young person my parents could see I had a curiosity around the pursuit of an epic creative project . My mother took me down to the hardware store and bought me building supplies and paints and over the school holidays when I was fourteen I created this artwork.

It was featured in two magazines and was my absolute creative pride for many years to come. Early in the morning when the sun hit the white chiffon curtains, a soft bright diffused light would gently wake me from my slumber. It often took me a moment to realise I was not in heaven or an elven woodland

This was my bedroom as a young person. When the house was sold all the beautiful painted and adorned walls in the house were painted white although the Real Estate agreed that keeping this room as is actually increased the value of our home, so it stayed and the house was sold. I was so happy and I often wonder if all these years later it still looks like this.
